I’m a country girl, through and through. I grew up in a house at the top of a seasonal road. I spent countless hours when I was little making forts outside and catching snakes and frogs. Living in Flint, MI for a year and a half was really hard on me, and my poor husband lived there for 5 years.
Fall is my very favorite time of the year. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I missed upstate NY autumn two years in a row… and it made me enjoy it that much more this year. We went apple picking, and had our own cider pressed. I made grape and apple pies, and about 10 acorn squashes. Matt and I went trick or treating with my niece, nephew and sister. We went to a fall foliage festival. I thoroughly enjoyed this fall.
As fall is coming to a close, hunting season is just beginning. My father-in-law got a Cuddeback camera at the start of this hunting season, and I think it’s one of the coolest things ever. Everyone crowds around my laptop as we plug in the flash card and see if we got pictures of any new animals. It’s amazing what’s roaming your back yard when the sun goes down.

I still have never seen a coyote in the wild.
I’m amazed at that the deer aren’t afraid of the flash.
Look at how fat this guy’s legs are. He’s a big boy.

Victory is having a real concert, with a real band for the first time! If you’re local come check it out. Leeland is one of the few good bands left in the Christian music market.

“Mein Führer, I can walk!“
I’m currently working on the title graphic for our end times series. This was my first run. The general consensus is that people like it, but it sends the wrong message for this series. This is a case of me doing what I think is cool, but not taking the target audience into consideration.
Oh well, I had fun making it… hopefully I can still use the typography. Besides, it was priceless watching Pastor Steve laugh hysterically for five minutes after I showed it to him.
